This portal is intended for charter companies and agents that require the services of skippers. The goal is to group all Croatian skippers on one place and make it easy and quick for charters to choose a skipper; from the youngest to the most mature, from professionals to recreational skippers.

RESERVATION CALENDAR - the skippering calendar is the basis for the site’s functionality and because of this it is imperative that it is correctly filled out and regularly updated. You mark the weeks which you’re already otherwise engaged (either you're booked or do not wish to skipper at that time) as unavailable (private weeks). You can freely delete or add private weeks and you also have an option for additional notes. The skipper online calendar is ideal for running your own availability schedule.
For all other weeks, you'll be listed as available to the charter within the search results, under the condition that all of the other search parameters are met (language, experience...).

It is important to note that skipper availability is accessible through the search engine only for a specific time-slot, not for the entire season! This way, only the skipper has access to season records and his/her booking list.

PROFILE - skipper profiles are an important part of the system and because of this they need to be organised; the skipper needs to list enough information (and a photograph) so his/her profile can be approved, that is, so it would appear on the site. The minimum of required data for skipper profile approval is defined when creating and editing the profile. If the minimum conditions for profile approval are not met, your profile WILL NOT appear in the search results!

ACCEPTING SKIPPERS - only a charter can make a skipper reservation. Notification/query about the reservation comes to you in two ways;
SMS - contains details related to the job, as well as charter and contact person within the charter. It is important you IMMEDIATELY or in the shortest possible time contact the charter at the number listed in the message and confirm (or decline) the offered job. The same action needs to be repeated within yachtmaster.hr
YACHTMASTER.hr - within your profile, you will receive a detailed notice about the offered job. Whether you decline or accept a particular charter offer, it is necessary that you define the status of that time-slot as soon as possible! Once you accept/decline an offer, you CANNOT delete or change it!

DOCUMENTS - give a level of seriousness to your profile. You have the possibility of adding scanned certificates (Yachtmaster100, 500, Boat leader C category, GMDSS, courses and similar…) within “Sea licences” or charter references within the “Recommendations” sections of the profile. It is important to note that access to your documents is available only to a registered charter.

To take advantage of the possibilities offered to you by YACHTMASTER.hr as best as possible, you are required to do the following:

• Regularly update the skipper calendar - booking lists. If you don’t properly mark the weeks you’re unavailable, the charter will spend his/her time in vain trying to contact a skipper who's already booked. In order to avoid possible problems, the search engine the charter uses to choose a skipper will prefer those skippers that regularly update their booking lists. In other words, the search engine functions on the "last activity principle" – this way, those skippers who regularly update their calendar reservations (booking lists) are at the top of the results.
• Detailed and precisely filled out profiles are more serious and professional and as such, they help out the charter when choosing a skipper. A high-quality picture can make quite a difference when trying to decide.
• The agreement between the skipper and the charter needs to be honoured: skipper jobs cannot be cancelled without a justified reason, nor can they be transferred onto another skipper. If, however, this is necessary, you need to immediately notify YACHTMASTER.hr either by e-mail or by mobile phone.
• The truthfulness of skipper profiles is crucial for the functioning of the system; the profiles are controlled and the information is verified – skippers who falsely introduce themselves or do not adhere to the rules of the portal, will be temporarily or permanently deleted from the site.
• In the near future, YACHTMASTER.hr will become the main tool for charters and skipper employment agents, so we ask you to approach this system with an adequate level of professionalism.
